My feline story December 2020

 

Well, excuse me guys... In general I want to say hello, but I am napping as you might see, right?

The cinammon rolls are eaten, as you might see... The be frank, I am more grumpy than I was some time ago. I am getting older and more grumpy. 

Mom baked the rolls yesterday and she will show you later. This is very windy day here in Warsaw today. We had 10C yesterday and now is getting colder again. Mom has  new sewing machine. I predict she will sew all winter long 😟😟😟

I want to share it, because I am pretty sure there is my ancestor. 

Would you like to watch it to the end? This is very short indeed. In the end you will see my ancestor. I am very similar, don't you think? Do you like it? As far as I am concerned it is so fancy! So beautiful! This is from 1906! So long time ago... Mom told me surely I am from France!

Christmas just around the corner! I usually sleep during every holidays. I was told by Mom maybe we will experience snow this year... So maybe I will watch. I cannot promise. Best regards, your Claire - Genevieve from Warsaw. See you next time!

The things I've been loving November 2020

 

Hi guys! Today I want to share my sweet little things I currently love. I am doing fine but of course I feel tired of all this ... you know what ( C 😷😷😷).  The pets have become  nasty and grumpy, as you might see above. (Claire- Genevieve is planning to publish her own story in a short time). So let's talk my things. Firstly, I bought an eco baking moulds in Rossmann. Unfortunately, it has happened some time ago and I realised for now that I did throw out the packaging. That means I cannot tell you the brand. Anyhow, it is available in Rossmann and I paid around 6 zł for the  set of a few moulds. I don't remember proof , but I think they sell three moulds in a set. I am not sure. It looks like paper but it is not. This is made from coconut. You can use it only one time. 

I baked this yeasty buns/ brioches with sugary top, it was delicious! I must start publish my food posts again. I wanted smaller bun than in the recipe and I baked mini version of it. I do it often with recipes. 

And the next thing that brings me joy is my hand cream from Ziaja. I am not a huge fan of Ziaja, I mean I am buying  from time to time. I bought this cream in the grocery store in the neighbourhood, because it was the only one hand cream available in the shop. So I had no choice. Then it turned out that this scent is turning me back  to the years I had my old dog Misiek and it was a very nice and unexpected feeling.  Kozie Mleko is Goat's Milk, you know it.

Look how beautiful roses I had! Well, I still have them... They're standing very long, longer than a week. The scent is also awesome. Even Claire -Genevieve showed some respect to this beauty and she did not eat it nor destroy ( certainly too high for her ). I have been watching the Eurovision Contest for kids tonight and maybe I will post about it in a few day.

For the end you see my small jar of honey. This is Polish wooden honey from Masuria, I paid around 15 zł for it in Carrefour. My favourite honey is wooden and also heather honey. I use to buy buckwheat honey too, so rather those darker ones. 15 zł is around 3 Euro for 250 g. 

Do you see this hair?(😑😑😑) This is my dog's hair... < no, no we don't see any hair in your honey >

My feline story Autumn 2020

 

Welcome, pawsies! Claire - Genevieve is back! Oh, I was missing you... Sorry I was absent during the summer months. The human was making some problems so I wasn't able to keep you up to date. Hope you will understand, guys.

My life is going well. Every morning I hunt for pigeons, and afterwards I nap and I am dreaming about how to prepare a fresh pigeon. One day I will catch. I will bake it like humans do with chicken. I will tell you about the weather too. We experience warm days now. We had 19C last week and 17C has been expected in the next few days. According to the forecast, you know.

Sometimes it rains a little but it makes the season more cosy. I was wondering maybe I should keep my own blog, but finally I decided to be here, together with my human.

The things I have been loving this time

 Hello guys, I am back on here! I feel sorry I wasn't keeping you up to date. It is been awhile since the day I posted here for the last time, don't you. I had been seriously busy but for now I have a little bit more free time so I am back.

September is obviously the month of an apple cake. As you might know from my recent posts I have a few abandoned apple trees in the neighbourhood, which grow completely wild in the park, in the place free from the traffic polution. I have been there already and my bag was full of apples, believe me guys. This is the cake I baked then. ( I have baked similar cake also earlier if you remember, but this is the next one).

I will bake another cake soon and today I added a few apples to the goose's legs  - great combo ever.

This is the chocolate I received as a present and I was trying it for the first time. I mean, for the first time  from this particular brand, but I know the taste of bitter chocolate with chilli. I love it! Wedel is very famous Polish brand and they make chocolates, pralines, drinking cocoa, bars and more. I have lived for a long time in the neighbourhood of their factory. The factory is an old building here in Warsaw and the divine aroma of hot chocolate is in the air while you are walking down the street there. This is unforgettable, believe me.

This is me in my dress I bought in Bon Prix. ( I don't have  any agreement, I really bought it). It was rather cool summer  this year, with rainy July and only in August we had proper summer weather. The weather in September is still good for summer clothes, but it seems like October will be cold. We sometimes experience really warm Octobers here in Poland, last year we had even 27 C one day, but they say in the forecast this year we will have around 10 C!

My dog stole the toy I brought home for her and then forgot to give it.

The cakes I baked during the pandemy

I think it has become a trend. Baking during the pandemy, the lack of yeast in many countries, here in Poland too. I use to bake often and for me it wasn't a new thing, although I am aware lots of guys started to bake during their lockdown time because they had the opportunity which normally has not been given to them.

The first cake is called miodownik  that means honey cake. It is a Jewish recipe I found in old Polish calendar. I baked it for the first time and I must admit it was delicious! I added Polish wood honey and also walnuts. I want to bake it again, but now honey is over. Wood honey is very expensive here in Poland.

The second is a lemon cake, from the recipe I found on the sugar packaging few years ago. This is very fat and also delicious cake, I bake it rarely because it has been really fattening. This is also a glaze in the recipe but I skipped it, as I am not a massive lover of a glaze at all.

And here is the third one and it is mini carob bun from my own recipe. I love carob and as a dog owner I do prefer to bake anything from carob than chocolate or cocoa. Dogs cannot eat chocolate but they tolerate carob very good.  If you want me to share some recipe tell me in the comment and I shall publish.

Today we experience the first really warm day this summer. I did some shopping and I washed my hair, also I took my dog for the longer walk. We were in the woods and near the pond. She took a cool dip. Maybe tommorrow I will bake again.

Serdecznie witam wszystkich w ten jesienny wieczór! Jakże mi miło być tu z Państwem znowu, naprawdę. Mówi kotka Claire - Genevieve z Warszawy! To szalenie przyjemne tak dzielić się swoimi myślami z innymi kotami, z Wami. Mam nadzieję że czekaliście na mój post... Dziś oto podzielę się   interesującą historią o obroży i jeszcze chciałam Państwu pokazać zdjęcie pocztówki w kształcie ryby. Pani kupiła mi w Carrefourze taką uprząż, która może nawet i jest ładna, no ale co z tego, bo to jest za małe... I Pani zdjęła mi to, potem tylko rozcięła nożyczkami i z tego są teraz dwie obróżki i smycz oddzielnie. To jest nawet fajne.

Hello, everypawdy! This is speaking the kitty Claire- Genevieve, I am live from Warsaw! I know you wait for me! Here we go, guys! Such a pleasure to talk to you, sweethearts! I feel so excited, so excited, guys! Mom bought me a harness, and I want you to know, everypawdy, that I have never had a harness before. So I tried it and it turned out that is too small. Not my size. Mom got the idea she could refashion it. She simply made two collars from it, and it is also a funny leash. I find it quite nice. This is from Carrefour. And I want to show you this  fish- shaped post card.

Ulubione rzeczy Wrzesień 2019 / The things I've been loving September 2019

Tenisówki z Carrefoura: Byłam w Carrefourze, takim bardzo dużym i tam sobie kupiłam z przeceny, ale niestety nie pamiętam za ile, bo robiłam większe zakupy... Chyba jakoś poniżej 30 zł. One są bardzo ładne a teraz są takie zimy, że nawet w grudniu ja chodzę jeszcze w tenisówkach. Generalnie do 10 C tenisówki są w sam raz, jeśli chodzi o to czy jest w nich ciepło. Zauważyłam też że w Polsce jest sporo ludzi, którzy jakoś ogromnie się dziwują widząc w zimie osobę w tenisówkach, bluzie z kapturem czy w balerinach, nawet jeśli jest 12 C i słońce. Zachęcam, aby się odważyć i ubrać się lżej bo okaże się że jest ciepło. Oczywiście, nie o świcie, ale to chyba oczywiste. W środku słonecznego dnia. W każdym razie ja tak robię.

My new sneakers from Carrefour: I have visited Carrefour recently, and I got these pretty nice sneakers there. With lowered price! I don't remember proof but cheap. I use to do bigger shopping in Carrefour and I lost my bill. The brand is Polish, the shoes are made in China. In these years we experience such warm winters that I bet I will wear the sneakers even in December. While the temperature outside is 10 C or over 10 C I still wear sneakers, balerinas and even sporty sandals but obviously not on bare foot. In Poland older people are often not accustomed to warmer winters and they use to claim annoying and even offensive questions, if they notice a person in sandals in December. Last year I told one neighbour that it is offensive to claim to me why do I wear only a hoodie in February ( it was 14 C ). Blah blah. 

Proszek do prania z Rossmanna: Tu oto widzimy proszek, który kupiłam na promocji w Rossmannie i też niestety nie pamiętam za ile. Ja generalnie wydaję dużo na proszki i płyny do prania, bo kupuję tylko bio albo hipoalergiczne. Ten jest bardzo dobry. Ja mam alergię na chyba środki zapachowe w tych zwykłych proszkach, poza tym dla mnie te aromaty są strasznie mocne i nie lubię ich. Ten nie ma silnego zapachu i sprał tłustą plamę w 30 stopniach w pralce.

Washing powder from Rossmann: Here we go with the worthbuying washing powder. I have it from Rossmann and I don't remember the price. In general I use to spend big money on washing powders and liquids, because I am buying always bio and hipoallergenic ones. This one turned out to be very good. I suffer from an allergy I think of the artificial fragrances which hit our sense of smell with great power. Not to mention I simply don't like these aromas, I find it too strong. This  has not any strong fragrance and it washed one big fat stain in 30C during the machine wash.

Jogurt kozi bio z Organic : Byłam tam znowu i sobie nakupiłam bio jedzonka, na przykład taki kozi jogurt z jagodami. Jogurt ten był bardzo drogi, nawet jeśli pamiętam jego cenę to i tak jej nie podam gdyż ocierała się o kosmos. Jest bardzo, bardzo smaczny, w każdym razie dla mnie bo ja bardzo lubię wszystko kozie. Ludzie jakoś boją się połączenia koziego jogurtu i owoców, na przykład moja matka. Ludzie uważają że to będzie bardzo niedobre, a tak naprawdę to jest pyszne. On jest hiszpański i na pewno sobie jeszcze kupię znowu.

Goat yoghurt bio from Organic: So I went to Organic again, they have always very cosmic prices but I like to buy there. I bought some yummy food, for example this adorable Spanish yoghurt. It is made from goat's milk and from blueberries and is bio. I adore everything from goat! I am aware that a lot of guys are seriously afraid of the mix goat yoghurt + anything sweet. My mother thinks like that. But it is heavenly good! Yum! I will repurchase it even if it is very expensive here in Poland.

Foremki papierowe na muffinki z Duki: Byłam też w Duce i tam kupiłam z wyprzedaży takie papierowe formy do muffinek. Przecena z 9,99 do 3,90 to jest bardzo przyzwoicie. One są chyba wiosenne, ale przecież ja sobie mogę upiec muffiny w foremce z królikiem kiedy mi się podoba czyż nie...50 sztuk!

Paper baking moulds for muffins from Duka: Then I was in the Duka store and I bought on sale these sweet and beautiful paper moulds. The price was lowered from 9,99 to 3,90. See? That's great! I think it must be from springish collection, ha ha. But who cares about that? I can bake muffins whenever I want to bake muffins, right? 50 moulds!

Gratisy z paczki Yves Rocher: Zamówiłam też paczkę w Yves Rocher i dali mi za darmo takie serum korygujące zmarszczki, które okazało się bardzo fajne i tusz do rzęs, który też polubiłam. Chociaż właściwie to nie jest serum, tylko esencja, ale używa się tego tak jak serum. To mam pierwszy raz, ale wcześniej miałam kilka kremów na dzień i na noc oraz pod oczy z tej serii Anti -Age Global i uważam ją za chyba najlepszą teraz w YR. Tusz jest też bardzo dobry.

Yves Rocher stuff they gave me for free: I ordered bigger box at YR so they gave for free this black mascara along with this Essence. It is similar to serum, very nice anti -wrinkle product. I have it for the first time, but I recently was using another stuff from this line Anti- Age Global. I have had day creams and night creams and also under eye cream, so I can say this is my favourite line at YR now. The mascara turned out to be very good too. I am really satisified with it.

Sandały z Inter Sport: Właściwie to pojechałam po te sandały, ale raczej zostawiam je na przyszły rok. Zresztą nie wiem, może jeszcze się ociepli. Są bardzo wygodne. Ale wygląda na to, że się jednak nie ociepli, więc jeszcze muszę kupić inne buty... Ciąg dalszy nastąpi.

Sandals from Inter Sport: To be frank I went to buy these sandals, but I also bought all the things I showed you. It seems like I shall rather wear this sandals next year, I think. I was wearing it one time so I can say that are very comfortable. This is colder and colder outside so I have to buy another shoes, don't you think? To be continued.
