Dogwalking 20 Extra ( Rare Animal )

These images have been taking a year ago, but I was far from sure whether they might survive polish winter. I didn`t want to publish it before I will see them alive. Luckily, everything is all right now! ( Otherwise is much more difficult to capture them, due to they are spending time on another platform, hidden into bulrush, and I am not proficient in a turtles photoshooting).

To są żółwie czerwonolice z Ameryki Północnej. Ktoś je wpuścił do stawu.

They are sea turtles named Red- eared slider, from  North America. Someone has put  them to this pond. Last year was an article on them in local newspaper and an interviews with a vet and a biologist from  the university. They both said that these turtles cannot survive  winter in Poland.

Last summer I saw three turtles, and one  looked like a baby, much  smaller one. This year the number of turtles is even four, baby is bigger and likes to be alone, but I saw also very small fourth one, who was sitting with the parents.

Ludzie stali i patrzyli w zachwycie i zdumieniu i mówili: " One żyją! One żyją!". Ja też krzyczałam, razem z jakąś  dziewczynką, a żółwie połyskiwały w słońcu.

My neighbors told me that they`re sure these turtles are living in the pond for a couple of years. We have not been experiencing normal, heavy winter here for a couple of years, indeed. Nevertheless, water in this pond had  iced over for two weeks, so I was worrying all the time whether they died. When the April started, along with sunshine and warm weather, I have seen them again! People were standing there and starring at the turtles, and talking to each other: " They are alive! They are alive!". I was also screaming it, along with one small girl. And the turtles were glistening in the sun rays.

Czyli to wszytko bzdury, co mówią weci. Niestety, często mówią bzdury.
Thus, this was not true, what this vet has said. Sadly, it happens quite often.

These images of my beloved dog  have been taking this year, while apple trees were in bloom. She was sitting onto this dusty road covered with petals.

Domowy chleb drożdżowy z lubczykiem / Homemade yeasty bread with Lovage

While my cat Claire- Genevieve is checking actual weekly tv magazine ( due to her habit of watching  cartoons), I am doing the review of  my cookbook with  homemade bread recipes. I have this cookbook for a couple of years and I had done some of them. This one I will bake in this post is quite similar for focaccia. U need only  more yeats! I have been baking this bread with cow`s whole milk and sometimes with goat`s milk, which make this bread more salty. Although also very tasty! For today I show U the cow`s milk version.

Potrzebne będą: 40 dag mąki pszennej, szklanka mleka, 30 g świeżych drożdży, łyżeczka cukru, łyżeczka soli, 5 dag masła ( ja użyłam klarowanego), jajko, zioła,

U will need: 40 g wheat flour, glass of milk, 30 g fresh yeast, sugar one teaspoon, salt one teaspoon, 5dag of butter ( I used clarified butter), one egg, herbs.

From time to time I even prefer to bake such a bread more than any sweet cake. I treat it like a dessert. This bread is very good with some herbs added and it`s up to U, what herb or herbs U would like to add. Nowadays I already became a huge lover of  Lovage. The taste of it I can compare both  with cilantro and wild garlic - something  between. I heard the theory that this herb is good substitute of salt, I agree ,(although I don`t like salt and very salty dishes).

Wykonanie: Mleko trzeba leciutko podgrzać. Pokruszone drożdże wymieszać z cukrem, rozpuścić w letnim mleku, odstawić na kwadrans do wyrośnięcia. Do rozczynu dodać mąkę, sól i roztopione, wystudzone masło ( w przypadku klarowanego po prostu dodać masło), Wyrabiać ciasto, aż będzie gładkie i lśniące, a następnie ponownie odstawić do wyrośnięcia na godzinę. Do wyrośniętego ciasta dodać posiekane zioła. Całość zagnieść, uformować bochenek i przełożyć do natłuszczonej formy ( ja włożyłam do formy z papierem do pieczenia). Wierzch posmarować roztrzepanym jajkiem. Ponownie odstawić do wyrośnięcia. Piec na złoty kolor około godziny w 180 C.

Preparation: Simmer milk until lightly warm. Mix sugar and crumbled yeats, melt it with milk, then allow it to grow for a quarter. Add wheat flour, salt and melted, cooled butter ( in the case U use clarified butter simply add it). Crumple untill the cake will become smooth and sleek, afterward allow it to grow for an hour. Add some chopped herbs. Crumple the whole cake once again and form a loaf. Put the loaf into greased baking form ( I used parchment paper). Glaze the top with one whole whisked egg. Allow to grow once again. Bake in 180 C until gold, about one hour.

Kiedy ciasto rośnie, powiem Wam o lubczyku...

When my bread is growing I will tell U about Lovage ... Originally from Iran and Afghanistan, here in Europe was planted in southern countries. In the Middle Ages Benedictinian monks have expanded this herb across whole Europe. In Wikipedia U may read in many countries is popular to drink a Lovage tea, sweetened with honey - sounds interesting!

This is not a fancy dish, although I find it as fine, rustic bread, quite good along with polish raspberry tomatoes!

Dogwalking 19

Lots of bigger fellows today!
Sporo większych kumpli dziś!

Przywieżli barany do przedszkola tu, matka z dzieckiem była w środku a on czekał.

These lambs were in the kindergarten here, for a lesson, this ram was standing outside... Mother with kid were taken indoor and the ram was waiting. Afterward,  on the way back from the park, we met a woman in folk national dress, and she was going downstairs with the kid and mother. The little lamb was bleating so loudy! I cannot captured it due to the horrible woofing, made by my dog, along with my neighbor`s black french buldog. I must took her home immediately!

kiss me!
