Bulwary nad Wisłą w Warszawie/ Waterfront boulevards in Warsaw/

Vistula ( Wisła) is Polish main river. I can see Wisła from my window - here in Warsaw is already quite wide. Wisła rises at the south of Poland, in the mountains. The river flows through Kraków, then Warsaw and finally empties to the Baltic Sea in Gdańsk. Today's story is on our new waterfront boulevards, which are located next to the Royal Castle and the Old Town.

At the second shore is more wild, what I love. In the summertime you can see small fires every evening, there on the beach. People use to sit there at the public beaches, this is a lovely place. We have the watertram, which has been taking passengers from one shore to another.

Long time ago all the shore looked like this part. I even like these simple stairs, but I have heard all of it shall be done. In the warm months the shore has been packed with pubs and cafes, although the atmosphere there I found not very fancy ( beer, rough men and noisy students), so I recommend rather the Old Town cafes.

And also I recommend to visit some from these old boats. Quite nice place to eat a dinner or a piece of cake. Recently when I was there I saw  lot of German people. They looked like  in awe ( why not, if the prices are so low and the meals are so good in Poland, right?)

Widzicie jakie dzikie plaże i krzaczory. Tam mieszkają dzikie zwierzęta - dziki, bobry, lisy, łosie.  Nawet  kangur tam był - uciekł z Zoo i potem go widzieli na drugim końcu miasta, nie wiem czy go złapali, bo to już było jakiś czas temu. Więc jest to szlak, którym wędrują zwierzęta.

In general, I love our new boulevards in Warsaw. This is next to the Old Town and it looks good. From the other side, I am a supporter of the wild, natural rest of the river's  shores here in Warsaw. I want it all to remain as it is right now. See these wild beaches and the long bush! This is the sanctuary of  our wild animals, like wild boars, elks, foxes, beavers. Few years ago one kangaroo had escaped from the Zoo close to Warsaw, and then people had sen the animal  at another part of the town. So this is obvious the kangaroo went by the river shore... It must be a track for wandering animals.

  1. Looks beautiful. I hope I can visit Warsaw some day, I have heard a lot of good of it. I have only been to Gdansk once. You have a great view if you see all that from your window, lucky you! And Claire-Genevieve looks so pretty, I'm her fan now :)!

    1. I am very happy that you became a fan of my Claire- Genevieve! Thank you, Jenni :-). C-G is 5 years-old and she is a rescue. I see wild shore of the river from the window and in the evenings I meet wild boars here, but they're domesticated. I dream about trip to Scandinavia, although this is not easy due to my job and duties. In the future I will visit Finland, in particular I want to see your lakes. We have also a lot of lakes here in Poland, but there is overcrowded and hard to feel the wild nature :-)

    1. I think this is very good idea! In Warsaw I recommend to visit Wilanów Palace, Łazienki Królewskie and Old City with Royal Castle and my favourite street is Grochowska. This is not in the city but if you want to feel the real Warsaw this is lovely place. Chocolate factory is located there and you can feel hot chocolate in the air :-)
