Baked apples, short trip to Warsaw and back, autumnal mood

Pieczone jabłko jest esencją jesieni. Chodzi o to, żeby dać do środka trochę masła ghee i miodu, i jeszcze coś jak migdały albo orzechy włoskie. Tym razem ja dałam liofilizowane organiczne jagody. Podstawka jest do pieczenia kurczaka na ruszcie.
To jabłko zerwałam w Warszawie w sekretnym miejscu, ze zdziczałej jabłoni, i potem wiozłam je pociągiem do innego miasta żeby je upiec. Zawsze zbierałam te jabłka z moimi psami, jak jeszcze żyły.

Baked apple is very essential, right? This is very autumnal. My secret is a bit of ghee and organic honey to add to the apple. Then you may add whatsoever like almonds, walnuts. This time I added freeze-dried organic  berries. The form  I use is for chicken.
I picked up this apple in my secret spot where wild apple tree grows. I was carrying it in the train and I baked it in another town afterward. I used to collect these apples every year with my dogs. So for now they are gone.

Chleby oliwkowe z tureckiego przepisu upieczone kiedyś w nocy.

I baked these flat olive breads one night. It is some Turkish recipe.

Krótki wypad na kilka godzin do Warszawy i z powrotem. Za kilka dni znowu tam będę.

One-day-trip to Warsaw and back. I will be back in Warsaw in a few days.

Almond cookies

Recently I baked these almond cookies and they are really delicious. I would share the recipe, is very easy and not time -consuming.
You will need: 1 glass  organic rice flour, 1/2 glass cane sugar organic, 2 glasses organic almond flour,
6 table spoons organic ghee, 1 table spoon cold water, whole organic almonds,

Mix rice flour and cane sugar in the bowl. Add almond flour and mix it all together. Add ghee and knee it all, then add water. This is one spoon in the recipe but I added a bit more. Make small balls from the dough. Put in in the baking form and press one almond into every ball. Bake around 12 minutes in 180C. Very easy right?

The things I've been loving November 2020

Hi guys! Today I want to share my sweet little things I currently love. I am doing fine but of course I feel tired of all this ... you know what ( C 😷😷😷).  The pets have become  nasty and grumpy, as you might see above. (Claire- Genevieve is planning to publish her own story in a short time). So let's talk my things. Firstly, I bought an eco baking moulds in Rossmann. Unfortunately, it has happened some time ago and I realised for now that I did throw out the packaging. That means I cannot tell you the brand. Anyhow, it is available in Rossmann and I paid around 6 zł for the  set of a few moulds. I don't remember proof , but I think they sell three moulds in a set. I am not sure. It looks like paper but it is not. This is made from coconut. You can use it only one time.

I baked this yeasty buns/ brioches with sugary top, it was delicious! I must start publish my food posts again. I wanted smaller bun than in the recipe and I baked mini version of it. I do it often with recipes.

And the next thing that brings me joy is my hand cream from Ziaja. I am not a huge fan of Ziaja, I mean I am buying  from time to time. I bought this cream in the grocery store in the neighbourhood, because it was the only one hand cream available in the shop. So I had no choice. Then it turned out that this scent is turning me back  to the years I had my old dog Misiek and it was a very nice and unexpected feeling.  Kozie Mleko is Goat's Milk, you know it.

Look how beautiful roses I had! Well, I still have them... They're standing very long, longer than a week. The scent is also awesome. Even Claire -Genevieve showed some respect to this beauty and she did not eat it nor destroy ( certainly too high for her ). I have been watching the Eurovision Contest for kids tonight and maybe I will post about it in a few day.

For the end you see my small jar of honey. This is Polish wooden honey from Masuria, I paid around 15 zł for it in Carrefour. My favourite honey is wooden and also heather honey. I use to buy buckwheat honey too, so rather those darker ones. 15 zł is around 3 Euro for 250 g.

Do you see this hair?(😑😑😑) This is my dog's hair... < no, no we don't see any hair in your honey >

( It was your part to tell, guys)

See you soon!

This is selfie and she sees herself 💗💗💗

The lime tree in bloom and summer storms

I have read we experience the most chilly summer since 2011 and I think it can be true as undeniably it is been cold. But not that cold to make you feel bad... For instance, today the temp was around 25 C, or recently we had around 22C so this is only a cold summer. It happens sometimes here in Poland. This year we had been not experiencing heat like 35C, and it seems we will have it not. Personally I adore heat waves from the bottom of my heart but I know people rather don't like it.

The lime trees grow here next to our place, we have a real lime tree wood in the spot hidden from the traffic polution. That is why I decided for the first time in my life to pick the flowers up. While I was harvesting it two ladies stopped there and we were talking a longer time about herbs. One of them told me a lot of useful things.

I boiled it and I was sitting with my feet in this wonderful bath. I was also wondering maybe it could be good for my hair as a shadow. See how beautiful colour ! I mean the water has the shadow that looks properly, at least for my dark blond hair. The next solution is to use it in the kitchen. I was watching it in tv. The monks from Silesia know the recipe where the lime tree tea is one of the ingredients in the marinate for chicken.

So I went to get more and unfortunately it turned out the trees are not blooming any more now. So next year I will for sure.

June and July are rainy months full of storms. I adore summer storms, of course while at home sipping tea. Maybe this is our last summer in Warsaw, guys. I will tell you later.

Ulubione rzeczy Wrzesień 2019 / The things I've been loving September 2019

My new sneakers from Carrefour: I have visited Carrefour recently, and I got these pretty nice sneakers there. With lowered price! I don't remember proof but cheap. I use to do bigger shopping in Carrefour and I lost my bill. The brand is Polish, the shoes are made in China. In these years we experience such warm winters that I bet I will wear the sneakers even in December. While the temperature outside is 10 C or over 10 C I still wear sneakers, balerinas and even sporty sandals but obviously not on bare foot. In Poland older people are often not accustomed to warmer winters and they use to claim annoying and even offensive questions, if they notice a person in sandals in December. Last year I told one neighbour that it is offensive to claim to me why do I wear only a hoodie in February ( it was 14 C ). Blah blah.

Washing powder from Rossmann: Here we go with the worthbuying washing powder. I have it from Rossmann and I don't remember the price. In general I use to spend big money on washing powders and liquids, because I am buying always bio and hipoallergenic ones. This one turned out to be very good. I suffer from an allergy I think of the artificial fragrances which hit our sense of smell with great power. Not to mention I simply don't like these aromas, I find it too strong. This  has not any strong fragrance and it washed one big fat stain in 30C during the machine wash.

Goat yoghurt bio from Organic: So I went to Organic again, they have always very cosmic prices but I like to buy there. I bought some yummy food, for example this adorable Spanish yoghurt. It is made from goat's milk and from blueberries and is bio. I adore everything from goat! I am aware that a lot of guys are seriously afraid of the mix goat yoghurt + anything sweet. My mother thinks like that. But it is heavenly good! Yum! I will repurchase it even if it is very expensive here in Poland.

Paper baking moulds for muffins from Duka: Then I was in the Duka store and I bought on sale these sweet and beautiful paper moulds. The price was lowered from 9,99 to 3,90. See? That's great! I think it must be from springish collection, ha ha. But who cares about that? I can bake muffins whenever I want to bake muffins, right? 50 moulds!

Yves Rocher stuff they gave me for free: I ordered bigger box at YR so they gave for free this black mascara along with this Essence. It is similar to serum, very nice anti -wrinkle product. I have it for the first time, but I recently was using another stuff from this line Anti- Age Global. I have had day creams and night creams and also under eye cream, so I can say this is my favourite line at YR now. The mascara turned out to be very good too. I am really satisified with it.

Sandals from Inter Sport: To be frank I went to buy these sandals, but I also bought all the things I showed you. It seems like I shall rather wear this sandals next year, I think. I was wearing it one time so I can say that are very comfortable. This is colder and colder outside so I have to buy another shoes, don't you think? To be continued.

Początek jesieni / The fall has come

Wieczory długie i chłodne, ciągle jednak trochę lato. Z jednego zbioru: ciasto ucierane z jabłkami, pierwsze w mojej nowej formie. Potem małe crumble, i jeszcze pieczone jabłka z cynamonem, ghee, suszonymi morelami i miodem. Jeszcze znowu pójdziemy zbierać.

The days are getting shorter nowadays, but still I can feel summer in the air. We experience a few cold days now, and the temp is only 15 C, so I can say that the fall has come. From the other hand, I have seen at the forecast that we will have 24 C again next week. So summer will be back! Summer or autumn, this is September, right? And how to survive September with no an apple pie baked in a chilly evening... We must bake it if we want to survive this season, that's a certain thing guys. Therefore I and my dog went to the wild meadow aka abandoned garden and we luckily found two wild apple trees in fruits. I baked my favourite apple cake, then crumble and also baked apples with cinnamon, ghee, honey and dried apricots. We will go again looking for the apples.

Strasznie wieje i widziałam przewrócone drzewo w lesie.

It pours cats and dogs for the second day already and I had to wear my winter hat last night. The temperature you really feel was only 5C. This is because of that strong wind, that blows too. I have seen big tree broken in the wood. This is dark in the evening and I was reviewing my autumn clothes and shoes. From the other hand, I remember last year October was warmer than September.

Christmas 2018

I hope you all have had a lovely, cosy and merry Christmas this year. I usually spend my Christmases in a very proof family circle, I mean only a few persons at the table ( including my dog and the kitty Claire- Genevieve). ( As some of you might remember from the last year, she was sleeping all the time... and the same this year). My dog received a lot of presents, but her favourite are the rope toy, as well this huge stick from turkey's meet.

We have small, artficial Christmas tree at home. It must stand on the table, because while it was standing on the coffee table ( and my dog and the kitty were in the age of one year only...) well, I had found the tree in the bathroom one morning, laying next to my kitty litter box . ( ???) And now please find Claire - Genevieve on this picture!

We started with barszcz, Borstch - it is a betroot soup, and our bortsch is done by my mother. As she is originally from Cracow and my grandparents also were from Cracow, this is sour and vegan bortsch with dried mushrooms flavour added. Here in Warsaw more popular is Ukrainian borstch with pork.

Those dumplings we call uszka, it must be filled with dried mushrooms stuff. Below you see our baked carp. Here in Poland a carp for Christmas is a must. I know a few ways to prepare Christmas carp. It can be baked in beer or fried but this year is simply baked with the hazelnuts on top.

I have this plate from The Holy Land from my neighbour, who gave me it some time ago. She bought this plate in the 70's in Israel. I adore white Toblerone chocolate I must admit.

Here you see baked dumplings pierogi , it is a dish with more Eastern roots, I mean from Ukraine and Belarus. The dumplings are yeasty and filled with cooked cabbage and dried mushrooms. Also great with borstch!

This is pork with dried plums, which is my dog's favourite dish. For the New Year dinner I will bake duck and peach tart. I think she will love the duck too. If it comes to the kitty Claire- Genevieve is very hard to predict her taste... She is very greedy.

And the delicious hazelnuts cookies, very buttery. I baked it with clarified butter and bio flour. I have  used bio flour for the dumplings too.

I think Claire - Genevieve wants to post her own post about Christmas season soon. We wish you happy New Year 2019! And silent New Year's Eve... Here is hitherto silent because rain is falling. Only rain could save us. In general is warm, I mean around 7C and I feel like in the end of March.
