Początek jesieni / The fall has come

Wieczory długie i chłodne, ciągle jednak trochę lato. Teraz kilka dni około 15C, wiec można powiedzieć że to jesień, ale ma jeszcze być 24C, więc lato wróci. Wrzesień nie może być bez placka z jabłkami, prawda? Co to za wrzesień bez ciast jabłkowych w chłodne wieczory... To by nie był wrzesień. Udało się znależć dwie dzikie jabłonie, które jednak obrodziły w tym roku. Z jednego zbioru: ciasto ucierane z jabłkami, pierwsze w mojej nowej formie. Potem małe crumble, i jeszcze pieczone jabłka z cynamonem, ghee, suszonymi morelami i miodem. Jeszcze znowu pójdziemy zbierać.

The days are getting shorter nowadays, but still I can feel summer in the air. We experience a few cold days now, and the temp is only 15 C, so I can say that the fall has come. From the other hand, I have seen at the forecast that we will have 24 C again next week. So summer will be back! Summer or autumn, this is September, right? And how to survive September with no an apple pie baked in a chilly evening... We must bake it if we want to survive this season, that's a certain thing guys. Therefore I and my dog went to the wild meadow aka abandoned garden and we luckily found two wild apple trees in fruits. I baked my favourite apple cake, then crumble and also baked apples with cinnamon, ghee, honey and dried apricots. We will go again looking for the apples.

Deszcz pada już drugi dzień i w nocy musiałam założyć zimową czapkę, bo odczuwalna temperatura to było 5C. Strasznie wieje i widziałam przewrócone drzewo w lesie. Wieczory są już długie i dni stały się krótsze. A jednak ciągle pamiętam, że rok temu pażdziernik był cieplejszy od września.

It pours cats and dogs for the second day already and I had to wear my winter hat last night. The temperature you really feel was only 5C. This is because of that strong wind, that blows too. I have seen big tree broken in the wood. This is dark in the evening and I was reviewing my autumn clothes and shoes. From the other hand, I remember last year October was warmer than September.
