This is the new project to show you my old postcards from time to time. The big part of my collection is older than I am. Also for today I am going to show you the postcards from the 60's of the last century. I think I don't have to explain a lot about the Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris. This is a priceless treasure and our common heritage that we all love.

I found a lot of interesting news while I was browsing YT and other sites. The bees have been abandoned. There were thousands of bees on the roof of the Cathedral and it seems like they have survived. They have been living in wild beehives there on the roof, because the older hives have burnt. Some guys see the figure of Jesus into the fire captured on video. The pity is that the roof was made from lead and unfortunately the neighbourhood of the Notre- Dame is polluted now and the inhabitants have dangerous amount of lead in their blood. They must clean the floors very often. It was Mass celebrated inside the Cathedral last Saturday, and all the priests and worshipers had to wear the hard hats.
Nice postcards!!

DeleteI' ve stayed long time ago, is a beautiful church, a Paris symbol, is very sad what the fire done. But the cooperation between people was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI was there severally and I am very sad, maybe one day I will return to see the new Cathedral, but we must wait for long time... I have heard that one from the ideas is to rebuild the spire in some modern style and I find it spooky.
