Dziś jednak właśnie to nastąpi, bo naprawdę przypadkiem odkryłam tą genialną projektantkę hinduską Anju Modi.
As you might know, this is not a fashion blog, and even this is not a very serious site, because my kitty is the owner and she is the author of many posts here. Simply I have not free time, and I must admit, that blogging is very time consuming activity... Although for today I want you to spend a little bit more time watching this splendid video. This is a fashion show from India and the designer is Anju Modi. I discovered it randomly not so long time ago.

Thus, we had chilly spring before Easter this year, and I am in the habit of reading Indian sites and admiring Indian fashion, whenever this is chilly in the early spring in Poland. Once I typed in YT browser indian fashion I got it! I found that video and I thought there is no need to browse more.

My personal thoughts about it:
1. I would recommend to watch the video, because these clothes look much better in motion. I think all of it must be very comfortable and I see an universal, timeless beauty in this collection. This is a mix of tradition and modern style.
2. Mostly I like those prints, like on the jacket from the last image - the white prints on the dark background. It looks like boho, although it is not our western boho... This is truly authentic and more ascetic than bohemian prints or hippie prints which I know from the western projects. This is Orient, don't you think.
3. I feel a lot of silk there... It must be silk.
4. While I am watching the video I desperately want to live in India and wear like that! From the other side, I think in India live a lot of people who cannot buy those clothes. Not to mention that being a pale, blond Polish woman I cannot copy this style literally.

Looks amazing!

ReplyDeleteShe's very talented indeed! I am very glad I have discovered her works :-)
DeleteEven if I don't really follow Indian fashion shows, I know that in India have a great taste for colors and decorations and I love it a lot!
ReplyDeleteThis collection is a very original mix of traditional and modern, maybe pretty unusual for western standards, but I think many pieces could be easily combined with our kinda of garments! :)

I have not been following Indian fashion since now, but maybe I will! In my tender years I was a big lover of Bollywood, even not because of the stories, which are sometimes dumb, but those colours and sights!!! This is stunning and sweet and it melts my heart. There is something in it, what bring me higher and I cannot explain it... F. ex. their jewellery in India, or their furnitures - really I adore it. I agree that a lot of pieces are easy to combine with something more European, so this is open space for a creativity :-))

I was moved so I decided to share! I've had very nice time watching it... The atmosphere there has been very special, and I adore the the models look simply normal, I mean the do not look very angry or very sad, what I often see here in Europe. And intelligent too... I think it is underplayed with the collection very sophisticated and fancy. So I am happy that I discovered it :))
